ok, cheers. This could probably be easily added with MySQL triggers populating an article history table. Then you'd just need links to be able to view audit history for a particular article.

But if you update file its date updated, size will not changed in Files listing, this data saved in database.

I would like to see, or know how to, link files on my network to the knowledge base so that the files are always current in their original location, and are opened from their original location on the network.

This way I can link to the file once, and it will always be the most current version without uploading changes.

This would be nice for linking daily reports to KB that always have the same name but are auto updated daily, without having to re-upload it to KB daily.

I run KBPublisher to manage Q&As on a web site. I'd like to see a subscription system in place so that a general mailing list can be managed for updates to the knowledgebase. Perhaps the notifications could be on a topic basis.

Is there a way to resend the feedback emails?

I have my system setup to send the feedback emails to a specific address. However, every once in a while spam filters cause the emails to get deleted. I'd like to have the emails be generated again (the person actioning the feedback can't access the web from their location).

If not, this might be an option for the future - a simple 'resend' button for the administrator.

It would be interesting to have a small (optional) header at the top of any download category that can be manipulated by the FCKEditor or have the download description able to modified by the FCkEditor. Plain text removing white spaces is not always quite helpful when trying to enter a blurb of information about the download in a "clean" manner.

The problem we are running into is that we need to include a brief instruction on how to install certain files in a specific order per category. Even though the downloads are listed in the order they should be run, our users sometimes get confused. Currently, there is no way of typing this out anywhere other than using the description section of each download.

It is possible.
You have to create all required roles and privileges in KBPublisher.

When remote user authenticates you need to know his/her privilege and role
and associate it with privilege and role defined in KBPublisher.

Quick example:

function remoteDoAuth($username, $password) {

	// LDAP routine, return user data if authenticated
	$user = getLdapUser($username, $password);

	// if found
	if($user) {

 // assign a priv to user (optional)
 // here we should associate LDAP priv with KBPublisher priv
 if($user['ldap_priv']) {
 $user['priv_id'] = 3; // 3 is id for KBPublisher priv
 }

 // assign a role to user (optional)
 // here we should associate LDAP role with KBPublisher role
 if($user['ldap_priv']) {
 $user['role_id'] = 1; // 1 is id for KBPublisher role
 }
	}

	return $user;
}

Would it be possible for Roles to be created in KBPUblisher that were actually the names of AD groups and when a user authenticates into KBPublisher, KBpublisher checks which group they belong. ie we have Ad groups created with names such as KBPublisher-Staff, KBPublisher-Students etc.

It would also be great if the same could be done with Privileges. ie we have Ad groups created with names such as KBPublisher-Admin, KBPublisher-Moderator etc.

Here's an observation - when I log out after being logged into the admin panel, the screen puts me out with the blank login screen at the \kb\admin directory. I usually end up backspacing the URL to return to the main kb directory.

I suggest that a link to the defaul directory be incorporated into the login dialogue box.

I have a suggestion for a feature. When I am logged in as an editor (or higher rights), and I am reviewing the articles an a public view mode, I occassionally see something that needs to be edited. I would like to be able to click on an "edit" link that would allow me to directly enter an edit mode or screen. Otherwise it requires me to go through several layers of menues to edit the article.

Thanks.
