Now I'm adding some articles just to see how it treats it. I cannot work out what is wrong here. I have added additional article states to arrive at the following:</p> <p>1. Authoring<br /> 2. First Technical Review<br /> 3. Draft<br /> 4. Editing<br /> 5. Final Technical Review<br /> 6. Published</p> <p>Unfortunately, the approval notifications are not working as I believe they should. It appears the triggers are hard coded into the database, such that the only time a notification is sent for approval is when I set the status to 'Editing'. I think this is because this item used to be the original 'Pending approval'.</p> <p>I'm aware that there is some hard coding in the database because I had to change a field manually to get the default status for new articles to be my new status of 'Authoring'.</p> <p>Does anyone have any similar experience or advise on this? </p>
