Customising authentication for KB

    Hi guys ,

I have a rather strange situation in that I wish to restrict access via the normal authentication methods for users in my local network but leave our KB unrestricted for a third party at a certain IP address range. Strange situation I know and is probably the opposite to mosts requirements.
Basically we require the KB to recognise what IP the user is coming from , should it be coming from one of the specified IP's fom our third party , they are let through without any sort of authentication, if not then the normal authentication process should apply.
From what I can see in the remote authentication documentation I am required to edit the admin/lib/custom/remote_auth.php file , trouble is that file does not exist in our installation. Should there be somewhere else to look or perhaps can the file be created manually?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    Yours ...
