I have a suggestion for a feature. When I am logged in as an editor (or higher rights), and I am reviewing the articles an a public view mode, I occassionally see something that needs to be edited. I would like to be able to click on an "edit" link that would allow me to directly enter an edit mode or screen. Otherwise it requires me to go through several layers of menues to edit the article.

Actually KBPublisher has this feature.
If you have appropriate privileges, there are some links on the right (in article block)
"Edit Article" and "Quick Edit".
"Admin" always can see these links.
"Author" can see this links only for his/her own articles and if article is allowed to be updated.
You're right! Perhaps I hadn't noticed because when I was browsing the articles I wasn't logged in.
