   I have made a couple of small tweaks to the code at v2 which just helps people out a little here. If we buy one of the versions of v3 which comes with the source is that source open enough for me to make the same changes, if required? I know it says the source is not encoded on the pricing info; I just wanted to double check.

   Sure. Source code will be available (99%) and you can make any changes for your own needs.
